Happy Elephant is a local Thai restaurant in my hometown. The owner, Namfon, grew up near the Chao Phraya River in Thailand, where she learned to cook by helping her grandmother prepare food for the monks. While the restaurant has great food, their brand identity is inconsistent and in need of a refresh.
SOLUTION -
While I modernized the brand identity, I kept a natural overall jolly feel because of the restaurant's wholesome roots. In order to retain their previous recognition, I kept the color palette the same. Wavy lines can be seen across the branding elements, meant to be reminiscent of the Chao Phraya River where the owner grew up and learned to cook.
